The Horror Video Artwork Archive and Store

Embassy Home Entertainment lasted from 1981-1987. They distributed everything from mainstream films to low budget horror films like the Video Dead. Most of their releases were in the slipcase VHS format, while some titles were also distributed in clamshells, such as Nightkill or Humongous. The early releases included the suggested retail price on the box, as was the case with Slumber Party Massacre. Embassy also maintained the sub-label, Charter Entertainment. The Embassy/Charter names would die when the company was sold to Nelson Entertainment.
