The Horror Video Artwork Archive and Store

Looking to cash in on the horror craze and to get a step into the mainstream film world, LA Video (a porn distributor) created Camp Video. Some of their films were licensed, while others were their own concoctions. Films like the "The Incredibly Strange Creatures" or "Thrill Killers" were licence from schlock king, Ray Dennis Stickler, while films like Gore-Met Zombie Chef From Hell and Death Row Diner were made by themselves under the company, Camp Motion Pictures. Their releases were in the big box VHS format with glorious photographed artwork. The big boxes from Camp Video are sought after collector items simply due to the beautiful eye catching artwork. Camp Video would die in the late 80's, but would later mysteriously resurface in the late nineties with slip cases. The tape labels stated "KB Releasing," which could also be traced to a porn distributor. Whether this distributor is tied to old LA Video is beyond me. The new Camp Video DVD label has nothing to do with the old 80's company, other than they both released some pretty bad cheese classics.
